ForestPlanet working again with the AUDL: 2021 Championship Weekend, September 10th and 11th – *Updated*
Back in 2019, the American Ultimate Disc League selected ForestPlanet to be part of the 50,000 Tree Planting Challenge during 2019 AUDL Championship Weekend in Los Altos, California. ForestPlanet is very glad to help make this year’s Championship Weekend a sustainability success story. The League has pledged to plant five trees for every regular admission ticket sold – it adds up!
Championship Weekend 2021 will be held at D.C. United’s Audi Field in Washington, DC. This is a two-night event, with both semifinal games occurring on Friday, September 10th. The first semifinal game is scheduled for 4:00 PM with the second semifinal game scheduled for 7:00 PM. The winners of each semifinal matchup will compete in the 2021 AUDL Championship Game on Saturday September 11th at 7:00 PM.
The commitment to plant many thousands of trees as part of the championship games helps offset the large footprint of these productions: travel for the teams and fans, energy consumption, concessions, and so forth. We hope that other sports leagues and large event producers will make similar commitments in the future.
Friends of ForestPlanet also enjoy a 10% discount on ticket prices. For ticket information:

ForestPlanet will have an information table at the event, so please stop by and say hello. We look forward to meeting you at Audi Field on September 10th and 11th!
Congratulations to the Raleigh Flyers for their championship win! It was an incredible weekend, all the final teams played extremely well, and 15,000+ trees will get planted as a result. These types of big stadium events can have a significant carbon footprint, and we’re grateful to the American Ultimate Disc League for allowing ForestPlanet to help them go ‘carbon negative’.
