One Soccer Game Leads to 10,000+ Trees Planted
When Major League Soccer’s D.C. United hosted the New York Red Bulls at Audi Field, more than 10,000 fans attended. Because the October 27th game was part of Sustainability Night at Audi Field, the action didn’t stop when the game ended. For every fan in attendance, one tree will be planted.
ForestPlanet supports reforestation projects worldwide with our tree-planting partners. The proceeds from this Sustainability Night will help fund the Irente Project in Tanzania.
We enjoyed talking with many fans who stopped by our information tent to learn more about where these specific trees will be planted and the benefits of our forest restoration projects. We received great feedback from people who were happy to know that they were doing so much good by attending a sporting event.
